His Holiness the Dalai Lama is now turned into 82 years old by July 6, 2017. In order to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 82nd Birthday, Students and staffs members are prayer near the Stupa early in the morning. Incense-burning and Songsol prayer were held for the long life of His Holiness organized by cultural committee with assembly of senior students and staff members in their best traditional attire. Prior to the start of official function, staff members will perform traditional group songs and dances (Gorshay).
The official function was started at 9.30 am with the presence of guest of honor Geshe Lobsang Dawa. There was recitation of Gyalwai Shapten led by religious instructor Geshe Lobsang Khedup, followed by scarf offering to the seat of His Holiness by the Chief Guest, staff members and school captains and prefects.
